Bentley Continental GT 2004

GOT IT COVERED
It seems that Volkswagen can turn their hand to anything, be it creating a reliable family brand, a teenager’s fantasy and now they even have the luxury market covered.

The heritage of British passion and labour still shines through in this proud looking Bentley Continental GT. But its new face-lift and upgraded performance is attributed to the precision of Volkswagen.
The 2004 Continental GT is the first model that VW made since their take-over last year and to give credit where it’s due, they’ve done a grand job of re-creating this prestigious marque. The GT features the style of a two-door coupe and the practicality of four-seats, which is an acceptable compromise, we think you’ll agree. However the tangerine orange dash is unforgivable. That is of course until you put your sun shades on before it starts to hurt your eyes and place your foot on the gas pedal. The GT’s refined low growl might just get your pulse racing again, press your foot a little harder and you can race to speeds in excess of 180mph (where the law allows, of course). Its formidable W12, six-litre configuration offers no less than 552 horses, designed to give you the rip-roaring pleasure you would expect from an extortionately priced luxury sports car. Its most fierce competitors are the Aston Martin DB9, the Lamborghini Gallardo and Porsche’s 911 Turbo but we think it’ll hold its own.
