2009 BMW X6

IS AN X6M on the horrizon?

This Summer we get the hunkered down BMW X6 Sports Utility Coupe which is much more streamline and car-like than any BMW Off-roader yet. It also comes with a choice of the 2007 engine of the year (xdrive 35i) or a more powerful twin turbo V8 (xdrive50i). There are also two diesel engines which fall in to Band F of the tax duty tier due to just scrapping under the 220g/km C02 limit. Next Summer though the emphasis is likely to be on M-Power with an X6M model producing a rebelious 500bhp and 480lb ft of torque. The X5 is also due to get a dose of M next year although this move provokes us to question whether owners will really drive an SUV as hard as a car and whether you could get as enthusiatic about it as you would in an M6?
