Loeb Is WRC’s Best Driver
100,000 visitors took part in a poll on www.WRC.com to establish who is or was the Greatest Driver ever to compete in the championship. Citroen’s four-time WRC champion, Sebastien Loeb won hands down with 34,772 votes. Colin McCrae was second favourite followed by Walter Rohrl and Tommi Makinen. Frenchman, Loeb and his team mate Daniel Elena are currently second in the driver’s standings but there are still seven rallies to go, the next being in Fainland on 1-3 August. If Loeb makes up the points and drives like we all know he can then 2008 could be his fifth FIA World. Rally Championship win which would put him in the record books.
