covercars.com competes in Mazda Triathlon
After the weekend it’s deep heat all round and an extensive training programme promised for next year! It was great to be part of the buzz though and we were pretty pleased to be ranked somewhere in the middle for our Sprint Relay which we swam and cycled.
Journalist and Rally driver, Alyson Marlow was the runner for our team and she achieved a personal best time cheered on by a supportive crowd. Several other Mazda staff and journalists all clubbed together to form teams for the Sprint and Olympic distance as well as others competing individually in all three disciplines. Every competitor was made to feel like a hero and this was the theme of the event, there was even a hero’s gallery where entrants got to sign their picture with a message and have it mounted it on the wall. A souvenir picture was also mocked up on a template magazine cover for them to keep and in the Mazda hero’s playground outside spectators could chill out on bean bags and listen to music while also keeping an eye on the races.
