The exclusive concours collections will include his own Ferrari 330 GT Vignale, a 1912 Bugatti Type 16 number 471 belonging to Ettore Bugatti, an Aston Martin DB4 Bertone Jet and a 1961 Lamborghini Flying Star.

Scottish firm, Castle Precision Engineering Ltd have announced that they will both engineer and manufacture the wheels for the new world Land Speed Record car in partnership with Holyrood and BLOODHOUND SSC’s driver Andy Green. Innoval Technology Ltd and aerospace company Lockheed Martin UK will also be involved in this three year design study. The rocket and jet-powered car weighs 7.5 tonnes, it has 900mm solid alloys spinning up to 177 times per second at top speed and withstanding 50,000 G. |

Drag Racer, Matt Hagan emerged from his drag car at a qualifying race in
Charlotte, North Carolina on Sunday just moments before it burst into flames. The crowds watched on in amazement as he slammed down part of the debris belonging to his car and exited the track. Amazingly he was unharmed although very disgruntled he didn`t get to finish the race. |

Recently Williams have announced that Susie Wolff is joining them for the 2012 F1 season as a development driver. Her track history in DTM, F3 and British Formula Renault suggest that Scottish born Susie is as dedicated and talented as she is gorgeous and girly. The F1 team Marussia also took on Maria de Villota as a test driver last month which sparks rumours that after a twenty year absence a woman may make an appearance back on the grid. Protestors in Bahrain are using the platform of the Formula One Grand Prix to gain publicity for their cause of democracy and Shadow home secretary Yvette Cooper is urging British drivers Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton not to go because of sending the wrong signal. The drivers themselves do not want to get caught up in the politics and just want to do their job however protestors have promised more unrest. |
