As Saab`s bankruptcy ordeal plays out, plenty of potential buyers are popping up out of the woodwork.
It has been rumoured that the Indian based company Mahindra and Mahindra is in talks with court-appointed administrators and hopes to buy all or part of the Saab company. Mahindra and Mahindra are already leaders in the utility vehicle segment in India and have had great success with their flagship UV Scorpio. As well as this their agricultural arm which manufacturers tractors is also thriving. They do have competition though (or perhaps a willing partner) as it is thought that a unamed Turkish company has also expressed interest in the Saab brand.
