Better Luck This Time
The Lexus LFAs are giving it another shot in the Le Mans 24 hour race this year after a disappointing previous two seasons.
Lexus seem hopeful that their full production LFA Supercars have now ironed out any teething problems. Once again they will be prepared and fielded by Gazoo Racing as in 2008 and 2009. The Lexus is powered by a 552 hp V10 engine and driven by Takayuki Kinoshita, Akira Ida, Juichi Wakisaka, Kazuya Oshima, Armin Hahne, Jochen Krumbach, and Andre Lotterer. We are sure they can improve on last years 87th place and in fairness the other car caught on fire before the drivers could really prove themselves. The year before was equally blighted by bad luck when one car crashed out and one finished in a disappointing 120th place. This year however if they make a name for themselves for all the right reasons they should see a significant boost in LFA sales which should make up for the huge investment in the sport.
